Shop in the Harbour Villages

The Witterings

The Witterings – which include both East Wittering and West Wittering – are famous for their water sports so it’s no surprise there are a host of shops catering to a surfer's every need. Whether you are looking to buy, rent or service SUP equipment, surfboards, kites, wetsuits or anything else water sports related, you’ll be sure to find what you need in one of the many sports shops located in the Witterings. Try 2XS, Boardsshop, Shore Watersports or Wittering Surf Shop.

After a day on the beach or catching the waves, you'll want to kick back and relax to one of the many cafés, restaurants or pubs in the area. Try Billy's on the Beach (book ahead to avoid disappointment) or GOAT Coffee Co at Bracklesham Bay, The Landing or The Wittering in West Wittering. In East Wittering, Drifters is perfect for a cocktail or a beer or float into The Drift In Café for a hot choc or coffee and some pancakes.

If art and culture is your thing then why not pay a visit to the Little Art Gallery in West Wittering. What could be better than surf followed by art? After a day listening to the pounding waves, why not unwind in the peace and tranquillity of the gallery, surrounded in paintings, print-making, jewellery, textiles, ceramics and glass. With a great programme of exhibitions, there’s always a new reason to visit.

Wanting to take home a reminder of your holiday in the Witterings? New Waves Box in West Wittering or Beachcomber in East Wittering are good places to start and for sweet treats why not try Candies sweet shop in East Wittering.

If you are staying in The Witterings for a few days then don't miss Horrocks or Munneries in East Wittering for fresh fruit and veg, butchers AS Wallace in East Wittering or Tessiers in West Wittering. At the bottom of Shore Road you'll find Bob's Hut - it's useful to know that the early bird catches the widest choice here and he is open from 11am-4pm, depending on the catch.
