Things to do in Midhurst

Midhurst, the heart of the South Downs National Park and a perfect base from which to explore the miles upon miles of footpaths and cycle routes and local visitor attractions.  This picturesque market town is brimming with independent shops and cafes, perfect for weekend wandering and coffee stops. Watching over the hustle and bustle sits the Cowdray Heritage Ruins; of one of the country's most important Tudor houses once visited by Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. The Cowdray Estate in which the ruins are nestled is the home of UK Polo, with Cowdray Park Polo Club hosting the Gold Cup for the British Open Polo Championship each summer, drawing teams and crowds from across the globe. 

Midhurst is just a few miles away from the legendary South Downs Way national walking trail. and walking a stretch of the path from here will reward you with views of the spectacular Sussex scenery.
